The Gatherings vol 2 The year 2007 marks the fifteenth anniversary of the first concert in The Gatherings Concert Series, Philadelphia's premiere concert series of innovative music from the ambient, electronic and space music worlds. Over the years, nearly every concert has been recorded and archived. An anthology of excerpts from early performances from the series has been produced and compiled onto one CD. The Gatherings (volume 1) was released on 11 August 2002 at The Gatherings CD Release Party. The Gatherings Vol 2, a 2 disc set of pre-2000 concert excerpts, came into being on 22 April 2006.

The Gatherings Volume 2 double CD contains over 120 minutes of live music from 10 artists. The unique performances were culled from pre-year 2000 Gatherings Series concerts by some of our community's greatest talents. Included on the disc are previously unreleased live selections donated by: Vidna Obmana, Spectral Voices, Ma Ja Le, Jeff Pearce, Spacecraft, Pure Gamma, Saul Stokes, Richard Pinhas, Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Xisle.
